Principal's Message
On behalf of Deeniyat Muallima College (DMC), we welcome you to our website.

Our website aims to provide basic information about the college. The admission section specifies the process and time frame of the admission process.

Our vision statement shows that the college is working towards ensuring all-round development of the minority girls in West Bengal. The mission of the college is to shape life and society through quality and moral education. Specific objectives are delineated in the ‘About Us’ section.

The college is evolving its course curriculum based on the practical needs of modern learning and its application. Hence, there have been several experiments in its design since its inception, all the while attempting to keep the learning participatory, collective and joyful.

As outreach activity is an integral part of our institute, the website contains audio-visuals of the activities. We would request you take a look at the gallery section of the website-it offers a glimpse of activities organized by the college in the past years.

We welcome your suggestions and feedback for the further improvement of our holistic learning.

We also invite you to our campus for a wide range of reasons: to teach, to guide and to experience the learning environment in the college.

Your feedback is truly important to us.

--Molla Md Ruhul Amin (Principal, Deeniyat Muallima College)

About

Established in 2016, (DMC) is a community-based college that aims to blend Islamic Education with modern education for female Muslim students in West Bengal.

The initial vision was to create a pool of Muallima(teachers) for DMC’s Islamic learning centers, as girls above the age of nine, denied ‘Deen’ education. The inadequate supply of women teachers for ‘deen’ education led to the birth of the college.

Several mission schools run by the minority in the state have also shown a keen interest in ‘Tarbiyat’ for their students, and have shown keen interest in Muallima or Islamic Teachers.

The college started its journey in a makeshift campus with some day scholars. As demand for residential facilities has grown, we have arranged the residential facilities for the students- this has attracted more students from across the state.

Over time, the college has expanded in its scope. Beside preparing Muallima training, we aim to ensure the transition of Muslim girls from higher secondary to higher education, and equip them with a set of skills to acquire decent jobs, especially as teachers, in education and other respectable sectors.

About 200 students attend a diploma course comprising Islamic Studies and subjects like computer, management, nutrition, health, and child psychology.
